David K. Harbour was born in White Plains, New York, on the 10th of April 1975. His parents Kenneth and Nancy Harbour worked as real estate agents with his mother handling the residential side of the business and his father concentrating more on the commercial front. When David was in the eighth grade his life would transform permanently when he saw Kenneth Brauna’s film adaptation of Henry V which firmly set him on his way toward becoming an actor. David attended Byram Hills High School in Armonk, New York, and after graduation, he moved on to Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where he earned majors in both drama and Italian in 1997. 

Early Career:

David’s earliest acting career took place in a theater on Broadway and he was able to win parts that he found to be incredibly rewarding complex and rich, like a revival of “The Rainmaker” alongside Woody Harrelson in 1999. He played the role of Mike in the episode of the television series Law & Order which was his TV debut. Health Issues:

By the time Harbour was in his early 20s he found himself struggling not only with his rookie acting career but with alcoholism as well. At one point things got so rough even considered ending his life. In fact, the only thing that saved his life was his pet cat and he says “What’s stopped me was going, I love this cat, who will take care of this cat, also I was horrified by the idea of dying my flat, not being discovered for a week and having a cat eat me.” David fought hard to earn sobriety but he set black again when he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 25 after a manic episode brought on by becoming obsessed with finding answers to one of the world’s most enduring questions.
